This past September, the Appropriate Technology and Design Team, along with the Education Committee, featured ‘DIY Technologies for Development," a display about appropriate technologies and EWB-USA at the 2014 World Maker Faire in New York City.
There were 800+ maker exhibits, presentations, and performances showcasing and sharing what they make, and over 85,000 attendees. Attendees came from far and wide, representing 45 states and 36 countries.
Maker Faire continues to inspire new makers and expand and develop the maker community. The impact we have on the Maker Movement is immeasurable and important.
The EWB-USA Booth was awarded a prize for impact, an incredibly important testament to the work that our volunteers do each day to bring sustainable solutions to the communities we partner with.
