Public-private partnerships (P3s) are contractual agreements formed between a public agency and a private sector entity that allow for greater private sector participation in the delivery and financing of transportation projects. This exciting panel will identify and discuss some of the more common types of P3 arrangements as well as the pros and cons of these partnerships and the roll that the P3 will play in the future of Project finance and funding in the tri-state area.

This event will be an EWB-NY fundraiser that will benefit all of the chapter’s current projects. EWB is a non-profit humanitarian organization established to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life. This partnership involves the implementation of sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training internationally responsible engineers and engineering students.

Due to its non-profit status, EWB relies completely on corporate sponsorship and on fundraising activities to raise the necessary funds to perform all phases of the project (including logistics and materials costs). This panel discussion is part of our efforts to raise these funds and your attendance would be an extraordinary benefit in making our panel discussion, and ultimately our projects, a huge success.

For more information about our parent organization EWB USA or EWB-NY please visit our websites at http://www.ewb-usa.org/ and http://www.ewbny.org/ respectively.
