Usalama is a village in the Kibwezi Division, Makueni District of the Republic of Kenya. The village is located in southern Kenya, about 125 miles south of Nairobi, near the midpoint of theNairobi-Mombassa Highway. Usalama’s eastern border is the Highway. The village proper is long and thin, about 1 mile wide at the north end, 2 miles wide at the south end, and 5-6 miles long (north/south). The majority of the people are of the Akamba (Kamba) tribe.
